Meridian School Kukatpally hosted the “Street Play – Nukkad Natak KKP cluster” inter school competition today.

The theme was a choice among two : “Fake news – a Serious problem” or “Mental health awareness”.

Students presented vibrant theatrical performances justifying the chosen theme brilliantly.

While some showcased the ill effects of bogus news by news channels , some showed the over enthusiasm of paparazzi.

Students also touched upon the sensitive issue of mental health awareness by taking anecdotes from their own environment.

The audience witnessed the rawest form and of acting because one does not have a microphone or loud speaker while performing. The gestures were also highly overt with much dramatisation.

While all performances were outstanding, DAV school, Kukatpally bagged the first position followed by Meridian School, Kukatpally at second and DPS Miyapur at third.

The event concluded with some guidance and advice by the Principal Ms Aakrusha Bellaney where she spoke to students about how they can motivate their peers to overcome the issues highlighted.
